ფარმაკოლოგიური თვისებები:

მელოქსიკამი წარმოადგენს ენოლის მჟავას წარმოებულ ანთების საწინააღმდეგო არასტეროიდულ საშუალებას. 

ახასიათებს გამოხატული ანთების საწინააღმდეგო ტკივილგამაყუჩებელი და სიცხის დამწევი მოქმედება. პრეპარატის მოქმედების მექანიზმი განპირობებულია სპეციფიკური ფერმენტის ციკლოოქსიგენაზა-2-ის ინჰიბირებით, რომლის შედეგადაც მცირდება ანთებით კერაში არაქიდონის მჟავისაგან პროსტაგლანდინების წარმოქმნა, რომლებიც დიდ როლს თამაშობენ ანთებითი რეაქციების ფორმირებაში.
