ჯანმრთელობის მსოფლიო ორგანიზაციის მიერ საქართველოსთვის ადგილობრივი მალარიისგან თავისუფალი ქვეყნის სტატუსის მინიჭებასთან დაკავშირებით, დაავადებათა კონტროლისა და საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის ეროვნული ცენტრის ორგანიზებით, ბათუმში საზეიმო ღონისძიება გაიმართა.

აღნიშნული სტატუსი ქვეყნის მნიშვნელოვანი მიღწევაა და ღონისძიებაზე განსაკუთრებული ყურადღება დაეთმო საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის სფეროს იმ სპეციალისტების ღვაწლს, რომლებმაც მნიშვნელოვანი წვლილი შეიტანეს მალარიის ელიმინაციის პროცესში.

მალარიის წინააღმდეგ ბრძოლაში შეტანილი მნიშვნელოვანი წვლილისა და პროფესიონალიზმისთვის სპეციალური ჯილდო გადაეცა აჭარის ავტონომიური რესპუბლიკის ჯანმრთელობისა და სოციალური დაცვის მინისტრს ნინო ნიჟარაძეს. ღონისძიების ფარგლებში სპეციალური სიგელებითა და სამახსოვრო მედლებით დაჯილდოვდნენ აჭარის, გურიის, სამეგრელოსა და ფოთის რეგიონებში მომუშავე ჯანდაცვის სფეროს წარმომადგენლები.

ღონისძიებაზე წარდგენილ იქნა პრეზენტაცია და ფილმი - , „ადგილობრივი მალარიისგან თავისუფალი ტერიტორიის სერტიფიცირების პროცესი საქართველოში.“

ღონისძიებას ესწრებოდნენ: დაავადებათა კონტროლისა და საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის ეროვნული ცენტრის გენერალური დირექტორი ირაკლი ფურცელაძე, მოადგილე პაატა იმნაძე, აჭარის ჯანმრთელობისა და სოციალური დაცვის მინისტრი და მისი მოადგილეები, ბათუმის მერი გიორგი ცინცაძე, ქობულეთის მერი ირაკლი ცეცხლაძე, ხელვაჩაურის მერი ზაზა დიასამიძე, ოზურგეთის მერის მოადგილეები, ჯანმრთელობის მსოფლიო ორგანიზაციის საქართველოს ოფისის ხელმძღვანელი სილვიუ დომენტე, ბათუმის შოთა რუსთაველის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის რექტორი ტიტე აროშიძე და სხვა ხელმძღვანელი პირები, მუნიციპალიტეტების წარმომადგენლები და მალარიის ელიმინაციის პროცესში ჩართული სპეციალისტები.

შეხვედრაზე შეაჯამეს მალარიის ელიმინაციის მრავალწლიანი პროცესი, განიხილეს განხორციელებული ღონისძიებები.
