2022 წლის 22 აპრილს ჯანმრთელობის მსოფლიო ორგანიზაციამ ძლიერი რეკომენდაცია მისცა ნირმატრელვირ/რიტონავირის (პაქსლოვიდის) გამოყენებას დაავადების დამძიმების/ჰოსპიტალიზაციის მაღალი რისკების მქონე მსუბუქი და საშუალო სიმძიმის COVID-19-ით არაჰოსპიტალიზებული ავადმყოფების (≥12 წლის და 40 კგ.-ზე მეტი წონის) სამკურნალოდ. პაქსლოვიდით მკურნალობა დაწყებულ უნდა იქნეს სიმპტომების გამოვლენიდან რაც შეიძლება მალე და არაუგვიანეს 5 დღის ინტერვალში. მკურნალობის ხანგრძლივობა შეადგენს 5 დღეს.

ამდენად, პაქსლოვიდს უკვე აქვს მსოფლიოს პრაქტიკულად ყველა, ყველაზე ავტორიტეტული ინსტიტუციების (FDA, EMA, ჯანმო, NIH, IDSA და სხვ.) რეკომენდაცია.

მაღალი სანდოობის საერთაშორისო, მულტიცენტრული რანდომიზებული კლინიკური კვლევის (EPIC-HR) შუალედური შედეგების მიხედვით დაავადების დამძიმების მაღალი რისკების მქონე არაჰოსპიტალიზებულ COVID-19-ით პაციენტებში პაქსლოვიდი მნიშვნელოვნად - 89%-ით ამცირებს დაავადების დამძიმების, ჰოსპიტალიზაციის და/ან სიკვდილობის რისკებს.

ამდენად პაქსლოვიდის სახით მსოფლიომ, მათ შორის საქართველომ მიიღო ის, რაც ასე გვაკლდა - ბინაზე დარჩენილი დამძიმების რისკების მქონე COVID ავადმყოფების სამკურნალო ეფექტიანი ანტივირუსული მედიკამენტი და ისიც არა ინტრავენური გადასხმით, არამედ ტაბლეტირებული ფორმით.

ძალიან მნიშვნელოვანია, რომ საქართველო იყო რეგიონში პირველი და მსოფლიოში ერთ-ერთი პირველი ქვეყანა, რომელმაც შეძლო (ა.წ. 22 მარტს) პაქსლოვიდის ქვეყანაში შემოტანა.

პაქსლოვიდი გამოსაყენებლად ბინაზე მყოფი ავადმყოფებისათვის ძალიან მოხერხებულია (ტაბლეტებია) და სწორი გამოყენების შემთხვევაში პრაქტიკულად უსაფრთხოა.

პაქსლოვიდი ძვირადღირებული მედიკამენტია, მაგრამ საქართველოში მკურნალობა უფასოა.

შემუშავებულია პაქსლოვიდის COVID ავადმყოფებისათვის ბინაზე მიწოდების კარგად გამართული სისტემა. კერძოდ, „ონლაინ კლინიკების“ და ოჯახის ექიმების მხრიდან პაქსლოვიდის დანიშვნის შემდგომ სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ჰოლდინგის შესაბამისი სტრუქტურები და ექიმები მეორე დღესვე აწვდიან ავადმყოფს ბინაზე მედიკამენტს და მედიკამენტის პირველი დოზის მიღება ხდება ექიმის კონტროლით.

ამდენად, უკიდურესად მნიშვნელოვანია, რომ „ონლაინ კლინიკების“ და ოჯახის ექიმებმა მაქსიმალურად ფართოდ გამოიყენონ პაქსლოვიდი ბინაზე დარჩენილი ყველა იმ COVID პაციენტის სამკურნალოდ, ვისაც შესაბამისი ჩვენებები აქვთ. ამით ამ პაციენტების უმრავლესობას თავიდან ავაცილებთ დაავადების დამძიმების რისკებს, ჰოსპიტალიზაციას, რეანიმაციაში მოხვედრას და მკვეთრად შევამცირებთ COVID გარდაცვალების შემთხვევებს.
