ა.წ. 23 აპრილს ქ. ჟენევისა და ქ. ბაზელის საუნივერსიტეტო ჰოსპიტლების და შვეიცარიის ტროპიკული და საზოგადოებრივი ჯანმრთელობის ინსტიტუტის (Swiss TPH) მიერ დაიწყო მასშტაბური კლინიკური კვლევის განხორციელება, რომელიც მიზნად ისახავს ახლად დადასტურებულ COVID-19-ით პაციენტებთან მჭიდრო კონტაქტში მყოფი პირებისთვის ჰიდროქსიქლოროქინით (პლაქვენილით) და ლოპინავირ/რიტონავირით პოსტ-ექსპოზიციური პროფილაქტიკური მკურნალობის ეფექტიანობის შესწავლას.

„პოსტ-ექსპოზიციური პროფილაქტიკა შესაძლოა პრაგმატული მიდგომა იყოს COVID-19-ის ადრეულ ეტაპზე ეპიდაფეთქებების შეკავებისა ან შერბილებისთვის“ - განაცხადა ქ. ჟენევის საუნივერსიტეტო ჰოსპიტლის აივ ინფექცია/შიდსის დეპარტამენტის ხელმძღვანელმა პროფესორმა Alexandra Calmy-იმ, რომელიც ამ უნივერსიტეტში ზემოთაღნიშნული პროექტის ლიდერიცაა. მისივე სიტყვებით „კონტაქტში მყოფი პირების COVID-19-ით ინფიცირებისგან დაცვა უაღრესად მნიშვნელოვანია არამარტო ინდივიდუალური ჯანრმთელობის კუთხით, არამედ ის შესაძლოა დამტკიცებულ იქნეს, როგორც საზოგადოებრივი ჯანდაცვის ინოვაციური მიდგომა“.

აღნიშნულ კვლევაში ჩართული იქნება COVID-19-ით პაციენტებთან მჭიდრო კონტაქტში მყოფი 400 პირი, რომლებშიც შეფასდება ჰიდროქსიქლოროქინის (პლაქვენილის) და ლოპინავირ/რიტონავირის ეფექტიანობა COVID-19-ის პროფილაქტიკის თვალსაზრისით.

კვლევის ფარგლებში ახლად დადასტურებული COVID-19-ით პაციენტებთან მჭიდრო კონატაქტში მყოფი პირები რანდომულად (შემთხვევითობის პრინციპით) განაწილდებიან სამ ჯგუფად. კვლევის პირველი ჯგუფის მონაწილეები მიიღებენ მედიკამენტ ჰიდროქსიქლოროქინის (პლაქვენილის) ერთ დოზას. კვლევის მეორე ჯგუფის პირებს მიეცემათ აივ ინფექციის სამკურნალო ანტირეტროვირუსული მედიკამენტი ლოპინავირ/რიტონავირი 5 დღის მანძილზე, ხოლო კვლევის მესამე (საკონტროლო) ჯგუფის მონაწილეები არ მიიღებენ ზემოთაღნიშნული ორი მედიკამენტიდან რომელიმეს.

ყოველდღიური მონიტორინგის შედეგად შეფასდება, განუვითარდება თუ არა კვლევაში ჩართულ პირებს COVID-19-ის სიმპტომები და თუ კი, ამ შემთხვევაში რამდენად მძიმე მიმდინარეობის იქნება ინფექცია.

„თუ დადასტურდება ჰიდროქსიქლოროქინის (პლაქვენილის) და/ან ლოპინავირ/რიტონავირის პროფილაქტიკური მკურნალობის ეფექტიანობა, ეს საშუალებას მოგვცემს COVID-19-ით პაციენტების ახალი შემთხვევების აღმოცენების შემთხვევაში ვიმოქმედოთ სწრაფად და ჩავაწყნაროთ პანდემიის შიშისმომგვრელი მეორე და მესამე ტალღები“ - განაცხადა კვლევის ლიდერმა, პროფესორმა Niklaus Labhardt-მა
