„ვიძლევით უპირობო გარანტიას, თუ სექტემბრის მონაცემებით, რამდენიმე, ევროკავშირის წევრი ქვეყანა, აიღებს პასუხისმგებლობას და სახელმწიფო ბიუჯეტიდან დააფინანსებს აქონდროპლაზიის ახლად შექმნილ სამკურნალო მედიკამენტს, საქართველო იქნება მსოფლიოში ერთ-ერთი მოწინავე ქვეყანა, რომელიც ამ პასუხისმგებლობას გაიზიარებს და წამლის შესყიდვისთვის საჭირო პროცედურებს განახორციელებს", - აღნიშნულის შესახებ ზურაბ აზარაშვილმა აქონდროპლაზიის დიაგნოზის მქონე პაციენტების მშობლებთან შეხვედრაზე განაცხადა.

ჯანდაცვის მინისტრმა, შეხვედრაზე მშობლების საჭიროებები მოისმინა და მათ, პრეპარატ „ვოსორიტიდთან" დაკავშირებით, საერთაშორისო ორგანიზაციებიდან მოპოვებული ინფორმაცია გააცნო.

შეხვედრაზე აღინიშნა, რომ მედიკამენტთან დაკავშირებით, მწირი მონაცემების არსებობის გამო, მსოფლიოს განვითარებული ქვეყნები ფრთხილად ეკიდებიან აღნიშნულ საკითხს, რათა მაქსიმალურად გარანტირებული იყოს პაციენტის უსაფრთხოება. შესაბამისად, მსოფლიოს არცერთ ქვეყანაში, სახელმწიფო ბიუჯეტიდან, აღნიშნული წამლით მკურნალობა, ამ ეტაპზე, არ ფინანსდება. მედიკამენტის აშშ-ს სურსათისა და წამლის სააგენტოსა (FDA) და ევროპის წამლის სააგენტოს (EMA) მიერ ავტორიზაცია ეხება ქვეყნებში შეტანის და გაყიდვის უფლებას და არ გულისხმობს ავტომატურად ბიუჯეტიდან მედიკამენტის დაფინანსებას. აღნიშნა, რომ მედიკამენტების სახელმწიფო ბიუჯეტიდან დაფინანსების გადაწყვეტილება ერთპიროვნულად არ ხდება და საკითხს დარგის სპეციალისტები, ექიმები და ექსპერტები, ერთობლივი შეჯერების საფუძველზე განიხილავენ.

ზურაბ აზარაშვილმა, პაციენტების მშობლებთან შეხვედრაზე, კიდევ ერთხელ დააფიქსირა უწყების მზადყოფნა, რომ ბავშვებს, რომლებსაც სხვა თანმდევი დაავადებები აქვთ, დიაგნოსტიკასა და მკურნალობას როგორც საქართველოში, ისე საზღვარგარეთ, სახელმწიფო დაუფინანსებს.

აქონდროპლაზია იშვიათი დაავადებაა, რომელიც ხასიათდება ადამიანის სიმაღლეში ზრდის შეფერხებით და ამ დაავადებით ადამიანებს აქვთ ჩვეულებრივი სიცოცხლის ხანგრძლივობა, ჩვეულებრივი ინტელექტი, მიუხედავად ზრდაში შეფერხებისა.
